Standard RequirementsNonprofit Prince George’s County, offers internships in the fall, spring and summer. Internships are part-time, approximately 10-25 hours per week and are for college credit or professional development. No paid internships are offered at this time. In addition, interns must be: Must be at least 18 years old Enrolled at least part-time at a college or university Must have an overall interest in working in Prince George’s County Maryland Available Monday – Friday; 9:00am – 5:30pm EST (with some flexibility to work in the evenings and on the weekends) In addition, interns are required to report to work on time and complete all assignments, tasks and goals set by Nonprofit Prince George’s County Internship Coordinator. Intern’s daily assignments will differ depending on the intern's role with the organization. Intern’s timesheets must be completed and signed by their direct manager on a bi-weekly basis and are responsible for keeping track of their time and lunch breaks.

QualificationsBe enrolled in a degree seeking program; recent graduates and gap year students welcome Engage in a professional manner while representing Nonprofit Prince George’s County Strong written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated, organized, detail oriented and works well in a team environment Proficient in G Suite and working knowledge of MS Office Willingness to develop familiarity of programs such as Canva, Constant Contact, Hootsuite, Zoom etc Equipment for remote work Full Academic Year Internships are encouraged. *Flexibility in start/end dates may be arranged. Time Commitment: Twelve hours per week commitment is required. Internship hours throughout the week are flexible. Location: Telecommuting/Remote (until further notice) Compensation: Nonprofit Prince George’s County currently offers an unpaid internship. If you meet the eligible criteria, this internship will provide academic credit based on your department requirements of your school or university.

Remote/Telecommuting Work - COVID-19 ResponseNonprofit Prince George’s County does not provide telecommuting interns with equipment or office furnishings for their home offices. Interns are responsible for equipping and maintaining their home offices so that they can accomplish their work in an efficient and expeditious manner. Depending on the nature of your internship, this may require having computers, printers, computer software, fax machines, data and telecommunications equipment, and other equipment available for their use.
